In the wake of the devastating hurricanes in Puerto Rico and Florida, Walmart has announced a promotion for its customers to buy mattresses for just $15 per night, which is $1,000 less than a typical mattress.
That offer will expire this Friday, but Walmart has promised that it will continue to offer the offer for months to come.
“We’re going to continue to support our customers through this difficult time,” Walmart spokesperson Liz Moore told The Washington Post.
Walmart’s mattress prices have been in the red for months, but Moore says that “there’s no reason why we can’t keep this going for a little while longer.”
Walmart said that the offer would last for “up to six months,” but Moore said that customers could also cancel the deal by calling Walmart Customer Service at 1-800-523-2626.
The company said that it is offering a special promotion on select mattress sizes and colors on Walmart.com and other stores.
In addition to the discount, Walmart will offer a new mattress delivery program starting today for customers who live in the US.
“It’s our hope that by offering a discounted price for this first delivery, we’ll encourage other Americans to get on board as well,” Moore said.
Walmart is one of the top-rated brands in mattress sales and Moore said the company has been making improvements to its supply chain.
But Moore said she was not sure that Walmart could offer the same mattress for less than $5,000, which would have been a substantial difference.
She said that Walmart would be happy to answer any questions you may have about its new mattress price offer.
