The president of the National Association of Attorneys General says that he was not aware of Trump’s sexual harassment accusations until after they were made public.NALAG President Ben Ginsberg made the comments in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday.
Ginsberg, who is also a former federal prosecutor, said he was aware of the allegations but that he had no comment on them until after the allegations were made.
“I don’t know anything about the particulars of the case, other than that it’s a very serious matter,” Ginsberg said.
“If you’re going to have a president who has a history of sexual harassment, I think it’s important that you are transparent with the American people.”
When asked if he believed that Trump would not be impeached, Ginsberg replied, “I don, Jake.
I don’t think so.””
It’s going to be up to the Senate to determine whether or not the president should be impeachable, but if he is, I don, frankly, think that we should impeach him,” Ginsburg said.
The president has said that the women accusing him of sexual assault were lying and have been trying to ruin his presidency.
The White House has not responded to the comments, but Trump has repeatedly said he is innocent of all charges against him and is looking forward to a smooth transition.
